Bob:
Pat Brown with the Holt Diamondale Insurance Agency is with this. You brought a guest today as well.

Pat:
Good morning and thanks for having us here. I’d like to introduce Anna Fuller. She is our Aflac partner and she’s going to talk today.

Anna:
thank you so much for having me.

Mary:
So most of us have seen the Aflac commercial, heard the name, heard this, you know it’s very popular, very sweet. But, but tell us something that our viewers might not know about Aflac.

Anna:
Yeah, well I never get sick of being quacked at, so people can crack at me all day long. Right. Good. We have a number of small business solutions designed specifically for local business owners to help them save time and be more profitable, whether it’s retracting and attaining quality talent, reducing workers’ comp claims or simply increasing employee morale.

Bob:
How does Aflac help employers and business owners then?

Anna:
Yeah, definitely. So one of the things that we know is that business owners are constantly trying to keep a competitive edge and they do that through increasing productivity and reducing turnover. Now we know that the cost of hiring and training new employees ranges from a few hundred to several thousands of dollars. But we also know that employees that have a supplemental benefit option are not only happier, but they also feel more empowered. So you know, if offering Aflac to your new hires makes the difference between hiring someone for just a few months or someone who’s in it for the long haul, I think that’s an easy choice to make.

Bob:
Yeah. Agree.

Mary:
So when business owners and employees see increases in healthcare costs, how does Aflac come into play?

Anna:
Definitely. So we want local business owners to be the hero, not the villain. And Aflac provides peace of mind for everyone from guaranteed issue policies for things like disability and life insurance to rates that don’t go up when you file a claim. Aflac has really committed to our one day pay, which helps people when it comes to those out-of-pocket expenses.

Bob:
Talk about some of those misconceptions that you hear when it comes to health insurance and supplemental insurance,

Anna:
Definitely. Well, first thing first, Aflac is not health insurance. It’s a supplemental benefit. The example that I give people is you have major medical that pays the doctor, the hospital, the specialist or the surgeon, but you, the individuals to have those out of pocket expenses. And that’s where Aflac comes in. We pay you, you get to do what you want with those benefits.

Mary:
I like that a whole lot.

Bob:
I like it as well. Yes. So, um, uh, basically when you’re working with business owners and their employees, um, how do they get in touch with you? How do they sign up for you?

Anna:
Yeah, most definitely. So, like I said, we do work with local business owners and their employees, but importantly, Aflac is also available, uh, to individuals on a direct basis. So I always recommend if you’re interested, for you or your family to reach out to me personally, I’m happy to speak about it.
