Morning Blend – Farmer’s Insurance

Bob:
This morning on the blend we have Tara Zandi with us who is a farm specialist. And next to Tara we have farmer Brown. Welcome to the blend.

Pat:
Good morning.

Pat:
Good morning.

Mary:
So Tara, how were you able to help farmer Brown here with his farm insurance needs?

Tara:
Farmer Brown? Would you like to give this story?

Pat:
What? I was looking to change my, my farm insurance and I call the whole diamond l agency and got ahold of Tara and she volunteered to come out to my farm and, and go over my farm policy with me, which I haven’t had to happen in a long time. She got there a little bit early and it wasn’t quite done with my chores and the, actually Tara helped me finish my chores before we were able to get together. So it kind of built a relationship right off the bat with a, with her that she gets involved in, in my business and takes an interest in what I do. And uh, she said she’d be more than willing to come out and help any way that we, that she could. So we went into the house, my wife made some biscuits and we sat around the table and we talked about my insurance. I don’t know a lot about it. Um, but she was able to help me, you know, in layman’s terms or farmer’s terms, whatever you want to say about my insurance and, and my needs. Uh, you know, I bought a new combine, I build a new barn that I just figured were part of my insurance already and she was able to help me with those needs.

Bob:
Right. So, Tara, specifically when we’re talking about farms, what are some of the coverage options that we should go through? Maybe yearly?

Tara:
Definitely. I can’t express enough the equipment in the buildings. I’ve had too many stories come to me where they’ve said I’ve had a loss and I didn’t know it was covered. I thought it was just on my insurance. So that’s something that should always be talked about as soon as you purchase the equipment or start to build the building.

Mary:
Right. Well, I really enjoyed when Farmer Brown told us about how you were actually helped pitch in with the chores. And I’ve heard that about Holt & Dimondale Insurance Agency in the past – that the community involvement and that one on one customer service is probably what sets you apart, right?

Tara:
Yes. We strive to make that connection with our insurance, um, to make sure they feel comfortable at all times and trust us of course. Right.

Bob:
So whenever you buy a new piece of equipment or put up a barn or something like that, that’s an important time to get in touch with your insurance agent. Is there any other time throughout the year or is it just maybe like a yearly check up?

Tara:
I like to come out, um, as much as you want me to. So if you call and just say, hey, come out, will you look at some new things? I’m out there. It’s not just a yearly thing for me.

Bob:
